Robert Earl Stafford home, with Stafford pictured in an inset. The home was built in 1869 on the southeast corner of Preston and Live Oak streets in Columbus. The house is called the "Maigne-Walther Home" on a historical marker that stands in its front yard. Stafford lived there from 1881-1886. The photograph is one of a set of twenty made in Columbus in 1884 and sent for exhibit to the New Orleans World Exposition. The Colorado Citizen of December 4, 1884 refers to the photograph as "Capt. Stafford's Residence, with Photo"
