Nesbitt Memorial Library

Welcome to the Nesbitt Memorial Library

Nesbitt Memorial Library will be open 10am to 5pm Monday-Friday starting on May 26. The library will be closed on Saturday.

Patrons visiting the library are encouraged to use hand sanitizer upon entry, to wear a mask, and to keep 6 feet of distance from others. The number of people in the building will be limited to no more than 30 at one time.

 Services available include:

  • Four public computers for filing for assistance, job searches, schoolwork, completing the Census, paying online bills or checking e-mail, etc. with the option to print.
  • Check-out library materials. You may continue to place items on hold and receive curbside pick-up. Either place materials on hold online or by telephone at 979 732-3392. When staff have notified you that the items are ready, please call the front desk when you arrive, and we will bring your materials to your vehicle.
  • Materials may now be returned in the book drop. They still will not incur late fees.
  • Copier/scanner available. Please bring your own flash/thumb drive to save documents or scanned items. Please have exact change for copies and printing.
  • The Texas Room and Archives will operate by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 979 732-5514 or e-mailing director@columbustexas.net 

The library is not offering any programs at this time and unaccompanied minors may not be dropped off. Stuffed toys, puzzles, Legos and computer gaming are not accessible at this time.

Please do not donate books and other materials until further notice. We are not making meeting room reservations at this time. Sale books are not available as the meeting room is being used to quarantine returned materials.

To place a hold anytime, go to our website at http://www.columbustexaslibrary.net . Click on the catalog image to access the catalog. Find the log in to your account on the upper right and use your library card number for your user name and your last name for your password. Availability will be determined and an appointment set for pick up at the library.
